Celebrating the beauty of East Anglia.

Long Melford is the new home of East Anglian artist, Gordon Parkinson and his partner Susan Foran. At the front of their 17th century home in Hall Street they have recently opened The Trinity Gallery, a permanent exhibition of Gordon's paintings, drawings and limited edition prints. The gallery also acts as Gordon's studio where he works on expanding his portfolio of landscapes in which he specialises.

Art from the heart

Gordon was born and bred in Suffolk and his heart remains in this beautiful county with its vast skies and varied landscapes. He is continually inspired by the area's many picturesque old buildings and churches and can regularly be seen on the banks and shorelines of the rivers Stout, Orwell and Deben, which offer limitless opportunities for the artist.

With a background in graphic design and illustration, Gordon began using his skills in the commercial arenas of illustration, airbrushing, cartooning and artists impressions for architects and engineers. A few years ago he decided to move away from commercial art and dedicate his time to painting.

He says, "A lot of very talented people give up their art when forced to choose between their passion and earning a living, and I think the world suffers for it"
